30 Days Of You,  GRATITUDE

30 Days of Gratitude: Thank you India…thank you clarity…thank you best friend…

The last few months have brought some of the most amazing events I have ever experienced.  I saw each of my daughters score their first soccer goals.  My son got his first varsity letter in cross country.  Both of my sons are first chair in their bands.  Life Dare TV

30 Days of SHOWING not SAYING thank you!

began and the viewership continues to rise.  I launched 30 Days of You and have had the privilege of connecting with 127 intelligent and lovely people.  I am healthier than I have ever been.  My parents love me.  I have really supportive close friends.  I call my husband my best friend (most of the time).

God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today.  Have you used one to say “thank you?”  ~William A. Ward

Whew.  So what’s the problem?  With so much to be thankful for, how could I have a bad day?

Well, my life is the Tale of Two Cities.  It is truly the best of times and worst of times.  I continue to push forward for the purpose I was created but every so often I check my bank account and wonder about the scarcity.  Why so much abundance in some places in my life yet so difficult and dry in another place.  True confession:  There have been moments when my thankfulness has run a little thin.  When my bank account dips, my gratitude levels go south as well.

Gratitude is an art of painting an adversity into a lovely picture.  ~Kak Sri

I have always believed that from gratitude comes greatness and that brings me to my eleventh challenge.  Demonstrating my gratitude every day for thirty days.  I love my best friend, my husband and my parents.  I’m thankful for my health, my home and my childrens’ teachers.  I am blessed with talent and opportunities and support.  I admire the support of the military and the people in my past that have given me time and resources at important moments.

So, for thirty days, I am going Alanis Morrisette and writing my very own THANK YOU song which I will debut at the end of the month to demonstrate my gratitude to those relationships, organizations and circumstances.  Every day until then, I am going to show my thankfulness to someone.  I want everything and everyone to witness my thankfulness at the abundance I have.  My hunch:  I will say goodbye to the scarcity I am feeling in my life.  I don’t think I’ll have time to think about it!

If a fellow isn’t thankful for what he’s got, he isn’t likely to be thankful for what he’s going to get.  ~Frank A. Clark

I’m going to surprise my husband, make breakfast for the guys I see every week at Camp Dodge, run a 5K and find a way to thank my high school cross country coach for his investment.

I can’t wait to share this journey with you.  Even as I write this, I’m feeling full to overflowing.  Goodbye Tale of Two Cities.  It’s going to be the best of times and the most amazing of times.
